Return & Refund Policy
We offer a 30-day return window from the date you receive your part. To be eligible, items must be in the same condition as delivered — uninstalled, undamaged, with all original tags, labels, and packaging intact. Proof of purchase is required.
A 15% restocking fee applies to all approved returns. This covers inspection, testing, repackaging, and relisting costs inherent to used OEM parts.
How to Start a Return
Email teslarestorellc@gmail.com with your order number and reason for return. If approved, we'll send return instructions and the shipping address.
Items shipped back without prior authorization will not be accepted and cannot be refunded.
Installation Disqualifies Returns
Because we sell used OEM parts, any part that has been installed, wired in, coded, or attempted to be installed is non-returnable — regardless of whether the installation was successful. This includes parts with scratches, scuffs, or marks consistent with installation attempts.
We strongly recommend verifying part numbers, compatibility, and VIN fitment before installation. If you're unsure whether a part fits your vehicle, contact us first.
Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
Inspect your order immediately upon arrival. If a part arrives damaged in transit, is not as described, or doesn't match what you ordered, contact us within 48 hours with photos. We'll make it right at no cost to you — no restocking fee applies to returns caused by our error or shipping damage.
Non-Returnable Items
- Electrical components and modules once installed or coded to a vehicle
- Parts sold as-is, for parts, or marked non-returnable in the listing
- Special-order or sourced-to-order items
- Clearance and sale items
- Gift cards
Core Charges
Certain parts (e.g., drive units, battery modules, HV components) may be sold with a core charge. Core refunds are issued once the old unit is received and verified to meet return condition requirements. Core returns have their own timeline and terms, which will be specified at time of purchase.
Exchanges
The fastest way to get a different part is to return the original and place a new order separately once your return is approved.
Shipping Costs
Return shipping is the buyer's responsibility unless the return is due to our error or a defect. Original shipping charges are non-refundable. For heavy or freight items (bumpers, doors, battery packs, drive units, etc.), return freight must be arranged through us to ensure proper handling.
EU 14-Day Cooling-Off Period
Customers in the European Union may cancel or return an order within 14 days of receipt, in accordance with the EU Consumer Rights Directive. Items must be uninstalled and in original condition. Per EU law, we may deduct an amount reflecting any diminished value beyond what's necessary to inspect the part.
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll notify you of approval status. Approved refunds (minus the 15% restocking fee and any original shipping charges) are issued to your original payment method within 10 business days. Your bank or card issuer may take additional time to post the refund.
